How far can the Nearity A21S microphone pick up voices?

The Nearity A21S conference speakerphone provides voice pickup up to 5m/16.5ft, making it suitable for a wide range of professional meeting spaces. Actual performance may vary depending on room acoustics, background noise, and microphone placement.

Is the Nearity A21S certified for Zoom Rooms, and which meeting platforms does it support?

The Nearity A21S is Zoom Rooms certified, making it a reliable choice for compatible Zoom Rooms setups. It also supports professional meeting workflows with compatible platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, and GoTo. Platform compatibility and available features may vary depending on your computer and room configuration.

Is the A21S easy to set up? Do I need to install software?

No additional driver or dedicated audio software is required for basic setup. Connect the A21S to a compatible computer using USB-C or use a supported PoE configuration, then select it as your audio device in your meeting application. For multi-unit installations, follow the recommended connection and power configuration.

How many A21S speakerphones can I connect in a daisy chain?

The A21S supports daisy-chain expansion for larger meeting spaces. Up to 4 units can be connected with a standard PoE configuration, while a supported PoE injector configuration can accommodate up to 8 units. The maximum number of units depends on the power setup and installation configuration, so confirm your requirements before ordering.

How does A21S daisy-chain connectivity work?

Daisy-chaining allows multiple A21S units to work together in one meeting-room audio setup, helping extend coverage across larger tables and meeting spaces. Connect the units using the designated Ethernet ports and follow the recommended cabling and power configuration. The supported number of units depends on whether you use standard PoE or a compatible PoE injector setup.

How does the A21S improve voice clarity in meetings?

The A21S features an 8-microphone array and AI-enhanced audio processing, including noise and echo cancellation, to help improve voice clarity during meetings. Performance can vary with room acoustics, background noise, and device placement, especially in large or highly reverberant spaces.

How do I choose the right A21S configuration for my meeting room?

The A21S is designed for professional meeting environments, from smaller conference rooms to larger spaces using multiple daisy-chained units. Choose a configuration based on your room layout, seating arrangement, table length, and required pickup coverage. If you are unsure how many units you need, contact our team for configuration guidance before purchasing.

Does the A21S support USB-C and PoE connections?

The A21S supports USB-C connectivity and compatible PoE configurations. The appropriate connection depends on how you plan to use the speakerphone and whether you are connecting one unit or building a multi-unit daisy-chain system. For expanded installations, check the recommended power requirements and accessories before ordering.

Can I use the A21S with my MacBook or Windows computer?

The A21S is designed for use with compatible computers and meeting applications. Before purchasing, check that your computer has a supported connection and that your preferred conferencing platform supports the required audio setup. If you need help confirming compatibility with your MacBook or Windows PC, contact our support team.
